The Brief
The owners had seen enough beige hotel rooms furnished from a single supplier catalogue. They wanted guests to feel like they were staying in someone's very well-kept apartment — without the maintenance headache of twelve different layouts.
The real constraint was budget per room. Twelve rooms means twelve times any mistake.
The Approach
We built one shared material and lighting palette, then varied the layout and a handful of details room to room, so returning guests notice something new without the hotel losing consistency. Layered, dimmable lighting replaces the single flat downlight most hotel rooms rely on.
Furniture was scaled for a two-night stay — comfortable enough to slow down in, without the bulk of full-time residential furniture.
