The Brief
The ensuite bathroom in this house had been on the couple's 'eventually' list since they moved in — a cramped shower stall, poor lighting, and a layout that hadn't been touched since the building was constructed.
With no plans to move, they wanted a bathroom built for the next decade, not a quick refresh.
The Approach
Limestone tile, a freestanding tub, and warm brass fittings replace what was there. The layout was rebuilt from the drain lines up, not just re-tiled over the old footprint, which is the only way the room actually gained space rather than just looking different.
It's now the room they say they'd miss most if they ever did move.
